Instantized BCAAs The TP BCAAs are again just a basic high quality BCAA product... the instantized part means that something(a B vitamin I think?) is added in small amounts to make them more soluble in water and mix well. I have used them both by themselves with a little crystal light or as part of a PWO shake mix. Very happy with the texture, they mix well and don't settle at the bottom like some other BCAAs tend to do. The taste is like any other plain BCAA, not very good. Mix these with something or be prepared for an acidic taste. They are best bought in bulk and everyone should use a discount code when they go to order like DLA735.

Recession Whey Protein Concentrate Alright on a scale of 1-5 for value for the money the whey protein concentrate "recession whey" deal is a 6(think spinal tap "this one goes to 11" lol). Their whey concentrate is nothing fancy... just regular whey that as usual is lab tested but this offer is a little different. Normally when you buy protein powder from them you are paying for the raw product as well as the labor for a guy to mix all the flavor(a lot more involved than it seems with big orders) as well as to pour and weigh it into bags or jugs. This offer is for BIG orders only 25 or 50 lb bags are the only option. Everything is sitting in the warehouse already and just waiting for a person to ship to.

It comes unflavored(saving on labor remember) so you can either pick up a few of the premium flavor packs or do as I've been doing lately and adding in crystal light or sugar free pudding mixes to get a variety of flavors.

There are 2 other options there, a WPC/WPI mix and a mix of concentrate isolate and hydro whey for PWO. Haven't tried them yet but the same deal with quantity is there.

There isn't much to review about the protein itself... it's plane Jane whey concentrate that isn't cut with fillers so unless you have lactose issues already you should be fine with this. It's more of a "Hey look at that deal" type of review... guys that go through a ton of powder and aren't bothered by lactose should look into this deal because you can't really find quality product cheaper than this anywhere. Using discount code DLA735 will save you 5% off the whole order(no 10% on this offer sorry) so you can save a couple more dollars.

Whey Protein Isolate Cold-Filtration Alright my next review I'm convering my second favorite isolate from True Protein... Cold Filtration. I honestly only got this because they were out of Ion Exchange for about a month. Some believe that cold filtration is a superior process for extracting protein but I'm not too picky on all that.

Taste wise this was 95% as good as Ion as far as being "clean" tasting... meaning that it didn't taste like I was drinking a shake. I got this protein unflavored so I could see how mixing crystal light and sugar free pudding would go. There were some hits(butter scotch sugar free pudding) and some misses(peach crystal light) but for the most part I was very pleased with how they came out. No clumpiness and mixes with a few pulses of my magic bullet blender and about 6-8 oz of water for 2 heaping scoops.

As with all isolates there is no stomach discomfort or bloating... I doubt I'll be doing back to using anything else as a primary protein anytime soon. As usual with TP the best way to save cash on these is to buy in bulk... the price break starts at 16 lbs which gives you 5% off and then DLA735 or other discount codes gets you to 10% off the whole order. Premium flavors(or unflavored) are the best, the free ones really are only for people that like the flavoring very subtle or don't know any better haha.

Gemma Protein Isolate Gemma Protein Isolate is one of True Protein's responses to the ever increasing prices of milk and subsequently our beloved protein powder. It's made from pea protein and IS a complete protein source. The texture and taste are different than most protein powders people are used to, much "lighter" and ends up mixing very thick unless a good amount of water is used. I got the premium dutch chocolate(always get premium) and enjoy the taste even in water. It's subtle and creamier than milk based proteins but enjoyable. In milk it's absolute great and is best used with milk+oats or natural peanut butter to really get a solid taste out of it. Gemma has a different amino acid profile than concentrates but stacks up very favorably in most areas and is a little higher in certain ones as well. I use this either when I'm low on money and still need to take in large amounts of protein or I'll add a scoop to an isolate shake to give a more slow digesting blend.

This isn't the absolute best protein on the market but if someone needs special thigns, no lactose, vegetarian protein, very cheap etc gemma is certainly on the radar and should be lookd into. I used DLA735 at checkout to get 5% off the entire order(well I got 10% because I always ordered 16 lbs of it).

Whey Protein Isolate Ion-Exchange I didn't see any reviews on True Protein stuff so I thought I'd give some on the products I've tried starting with my favorite... Ion Exchange Whey Isolate. I personally use isolates for about 90% of my powder sources because lactose gives me issues and isolates mix so much better in regular food(oats/pancake mix/sugar free pudding) than most other proteins.

I have tried several of the premium flavors but my favorite has definitely been the fruit punch. For people that are used to very heavy milk based proteins something like ion exchange in a fruit flavor is a welcome change... tastes and feels more like drinking juice than a protein shake. The product mixes easily with a spoon if you desire and is a very thin consistency even with only 8 oz of water with 2 heaping scoops. If you like thick shakes you will want to add ice or another protein source with it. Perfect protein source for people that hate "protein shakes" for lack of a better term. Other isolates from them are similar in consistency but ion is slightly better which is why it has emerged as my favorite.

For someone like me who takes in very large quantities of protein on a daily basis product like ion exchange helps me meet my requirements without feeling bloated like other proteins have in the past. People will a bad appetite could easily put down 75 grams of powder a couple tablespoons of natural peanut butter or olive oil for increase calories.
I use True Protein because of the owner Dante(Doggcrapp on bodybuilding boards) intially but have since been a repeat customer many times over because they always deliver quality without any hype. You can download lab analysis of their products that are done by independent labs to prove what's in their product which is very reassuring. Top quality, solid prices, can't really ask for more.

To get the best deal on protein there they offer discount codes to use at checkout. DLA735 will save you 5% off the entire order and 10% if you are ordering 16 or more lbs.
