Vanilla Bean

I have tasted a lot of different brands of protein, including many plant-based proteins, and even a couple of other raw plant protein products. Thus, I have had the pleasure of experiencing some of the finest proteins on the market but also the unfortunate task of slogging through tubs of the worst. Consider SAN's Raw Fusion in the latter category. I can give a company credit for trying an adventurous flavor and missing the mark, but this Raw Fusion flavor was Vanilla Bean, which should be a staple, and you'd think a company that makes other protein would be able to handle this with no problems. You would be wrong. This was likely among the bottom three protein products I have tasted, and it tasted nothing like vanilla. But that was only part of the issue. There was a very strong aftertaste of nastiness that just made this unpleasant. Additionally, it was pretty clumpy, which I have experienced before with other plant proteins, so this wasn't too much of a downgrade from that. This protein was fairly filling, so that's nice, although there is less than 1 gram of fiber, which suggests it is the type of protein that is offering that benefit. The nutritional profile is similar to what you'd expect from whey, with 116 calories per serving, .7 grams of fat, 5 grams of carbs and 21 grams of protein. At the end of the day, though, I would not buy this again.

Value for money		Buy when on salesale as it isn't cheap.


Taste		San RAWfusion is the most delicious protein I have tried.
Value for money		I ordered a fat 4 pounder of Vanilla bean and I am actually excited to have such a large tub of it (whereas with any other protein I'd be in literal tears thinking about the next couple weeks choking it all down...) RAWfusion IS WORTH THE MONEY!

Texture		Please bear in mind this IS plant protein, and as such, it will never have the same texture/smoothness of whey.
