i personally hated this product. i used the green apple flavor and literally had to chase each drink with a gatorade, cranberry or orange juice, or some other strong tasting drink because the taste of the protein powder was so bad. i eventually bought gatorade and kool aid powders to mask the taste, but this made my shakes full of sugar and carbs which was not what i was looking for at all. the powdeer was also very hard for me to mix up, often leaving relatively large clumps in my shakes.

aside from taste the product as a good profile and protein per serving amount but the taste was just too much for me. maybe i just got a bad batch or sometihng but i highly doubt i will ever buy this whey again, and will most likely stay away from all apple flavored supplements in the future.

This is an everyday-use whey protein powder, solid formula with WPI as the main ingredient. The texture of the powder is very nice and it mixes much better than ON. The flavor options are good as well, with my favorite being Butter Cream Toffee.

It is also cost effective, as one can usually find 5lbs for $33 if you look hard enough ;)

Overall, if you're looking for a whey protein to use PWO to get some protein in or throughout the day to supplement your diet a bit to fill in your macros, this is a good one to try.

Chocolate Mint

This is hands down one of the best tasting wheys I've ever had. Not artificial tasting, not overpowering, but not weak either. Great minty chocolate taste, reminiscent of Andes mints. Solid nutritional profile, less than 1g of saturated fat, low in carbs, a great choice. Thankfully, it is also reasonably priced compared to competitors.

Orange Dreamsicle

I'm almost disappointed that the Chocolate Mint was so good because that may have added to my disappointment with the Orange Dreamsicle. And it's not because I don't like orange - those orange creamsicles are one of my favorite desserts. This was miles away from that, it tasted at once overly sweet and bitter, an odd and unpleasant combination. The profile is good, but if you have to choke it down, what's the point?

I always try to jump from protein to protein, i mean switch brands to experience differences between them, but when i found one really good, i need to stick with it and Elite whey was one of these. Dymatize is a solid company, even that i really dislike the thing about they failed label claims, they make good products.

Elite Whey its a very good protein to go with, because of its price and taste.

Taste: 9/10 I tried ALL the flavors and no one is disgusting, in fact they all taste so good that you dont want to switch.

Berry Blast: Decent taste, similar to strawberry, it taste very good but not my favorite. 8/10

Butter Toffee: At first i hated this flavor, but after some serving i got used to it and really loved it, specially with water :S 8/10

Cafe Mocha: THE BEST TASTING, including many other brands, it tastes like real starbuckS and makes you think its loaded with ton of sugars, it can be too sweet but that doesnt ruin the flavor. 10/10

Chocolate Mint: Better than ON Choco mint, strong taste of mint and maybe a lil sweet but you can support it easily. 8/10

Gourmet Vanilla: Decent Vanilla but not that great, something similar to Six star Vanilla. a bit weak. 6/10

Green Apple: Im not a big fan of fruity flavors on proteins i prefer the ''milky'' ones but Green Apple taste so great, more than you can expect, it totally surprised me. 8/10

Orange Dreamiscle: Not bad, not good. Nothing more. 7/10

Pina Colada: AWESOME taste, my second favorite, it taste so good if you blend it with milk and add some ice cubes, like a real pina colada. Maybe some vodka, lol! kidding. 10/10

Rich Chocolate: I prefer way much this Chocolate over ON, its so much more tasty, the taste is strong but not sweet, just exact. 9/10

Smooth Banana: It can taste chemical but i did like it, it smells like gum. There are better ones. 6/10

For price, its one of the cheapest if you search around and the ingredient profile its very decent and competitive. If you want something new, you gotta try this one.

I have only used Dymatize Elite Whey's Chocolate Mint flavor. I was initially turned onto the product from another review where the user said that it tasted like Andes Mints, I thought it was too good to be true and decided I had to give it a try.

My initial taste test was very disappointing, I mixed up one scoop of powder in 6-8 ounces of water as the directions indicate and was blown away by the aftertaste. I immediately thought I had just wasted $38 on a whey that only certain people seem to really like. As I began trying out different amounts of water and fat free milk the aftertaste all but vanished.

In 10 ounces of fat free milk there is barely any noticeable aftertaste and the mint flavoring is very prominent and refreshing, a nice change from the usual chocolate.

In 10 ounces of cold water the aftertaste is almost completely gone but the mint flavor is still spot on and the shake is a lot less thick as it is mixed in milk, perfect for post-workout usage when a meal is sure to follow.

Mixability is very good in a shaker bottle, in a blender you need only to pulse it a few times and it is completely mixed.

Price and ingredient profile is another good drawing point for this protein. It's hard to find a quality whey isolate that is available in 5 pound tubs for this price (usually around $38).

This is a great product line from Dymatize. This is another 'plain old whey' formula, but is composed primarily of whey isolates and includes various digestive enzymes.

Taste - This stuff tastes absolutely amazing! I've tried both Cafe Mocha and Chocolate Mint and it was sheer pleasure to down these shakes. Chocolate Mint was an extremely refreshing flavor, but Cafe Mocha has a better overall taste, in my opinion. Given that these are somewhat unique flavors for a protein, I can't really compare them directly to others. However, I preferred these flavors far more than any ON 100% flavor I've tried.

Ease of Mixing - Once again, this stuff does a great job of mixing. It's not quite as good as some pure isolates like Syntrax Nectar, but it's not a hellish chore like ON 100% Casein.

Value - This stuff is priced pretty well with a solid protein profile and digestive enzymes.

Other - It may seem minor, but this protein bottle is a well designed one. It actually has a handle conveniently placed in the lid. The digestive enzymes are a great addition for reducing the potential for massive protein farts.

Overall, this is a great regular whey protein product. It really boils down to taste at this price range. It's really a shame that this protein is overshadowed by the over-pimped ON 100% Whey. Before you hop aboard the 'ON 100% Whey is the only whey!' band wagon, give this stuff a try, it may just change your mind.

Value is the starting point.
With protein prices rising, we are all looking for an affordable protein.
Dymatize Elite Whey is the answer. With an amazing flavoring system with everything from traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors, as well as some mouth watering fruit flavors.
It mixes great and instantly. I have mixed it with skim milk, 2% milk, and water, everytime, instantly mixed with a great taste.
I no longer get bloated either with Dymatize Elite Whey. Thanks to the addition of digestive enzymes you get the best absorption of protein.

So all in all, it is low carb, low calorie, great tasting, and cost effective. Definately a good buy when you need protein

Elite whey is a great alternative to extremely popular ON’s Gold standard whey. Its also about $10 cheaper. The flavor variety isn’t as good but the consensus is that Café mocha is the best and chocolate is good too. I have tried Café mocha and its pretty good. It mixes well in both water and milk with a spoon so no blender necessary. The 10lb is deffinetly the way to go if you have the money. Its about $10 cheap than the more popular brands. At 24g of protein per serving it’s a good value. It even includes a digestive enzyme to make sure you get all that you can from it. I take one scoop in the morning hence the mocha flavor and one after my workout. Low carbs and no sugar is a very pure profile. I have started using this product everyday and love it. Highly recommend Café Mocha, stay away from green apple.

This protein is a really good value protein, and is composed mostly of whey protein isolate as opposed to concentrate. And Isolate is a higher quality protein that rates higher on the bioavailability scale, so your body can use more of it than regular concentrate. Also, isolate will not make you gassy like regular concentrate.

The taste for chocolate is really good if you don't water it down, and if you mix it with milk, it tastes great.

It kinda lumps a little, but with enough hard shaking, most of the lumps will go away, and the few that remain you won't even notice.

With the rising cost of protein these days, this protein is a definite good buy.

I'm using the cafe mocha flavour, which is the best flavour of that product IMO. I found the banana flavour, while good too, upset my stomach. The second best flavour for me is pina colada, followed by chocolate.

I use this product because it's very low in lactose, even though it's got whey concentrate in it (but whey isolate is the main ingredient). I heard it's similar in quality to Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard, which I haven't tried. People say that Elite Whey tastes better than the ON whey product. I can say that the cafe mocha is the best low carb, low fat whey (so don't compare it with Muscle Milk, which does taste way better) I've tasted. I mix it with maltodextrin and usually add a few granules of my favorite decaf to it and let it sit all day, drinking it throughout the day, to get a better coffee flavour going.
