Essence Isolated Protein Blend (Syntrax)

What qualities mark the true nature of a perfect protein powder? We asked this question when developing essence. We realized rather quickly that the run-of-the-mill protein powders could never measure up to the true nature of perfect protein powder. Those ordinary protein powders contain only one source of low quality protein, clump when stirred into liquid, contain a ton of fat and sugar, taste terrible, and produce a chalky or gritty mouthfeel. If you are currently using protein powder which matches these characteristics then we recommend that you throw it straight into the trash!

The qualities of a perfect protein powder are instant and complete spoon mixability in liquid, a combination of several high quality protein isolates, zero sugars and zero fat, and a taste and mouthfeel which can only be described as heavenly.

Focusing on these characteristics, e developed a protein powder that has all the qualities that mark the true nature of a perfect protein powder. The name of this protein powder was inevitable...that name is Essence!

Syntrax isn't the most popular company on Bodybuilding.com, but they do put together some solid products. The formulation of Essence is the biggest appeal; the profile offers one gram of carbohydrates, zero fat and 23 grams of protein per 100-calorie scoop. But this isn't just a whey isolate, it's actually an extended-release blend featuring whey isolate, milk protein isolate and soy protein isolate. Obviously, this contains zero sugar, but the taste is pretty impressive considering that fact. The chocolate isn't very deep or fudge-like, but it's a rich flavor that doesn't taste watered down. The consistency is a tad on the thin side, but it mixes instantly and smoothly. No grittiness or lumps to be seen. The price is actually pretty good considering the profile - 36 servings for 27 cents at BB.com.

Hey all, i've tried about every and i mean EVERY supplement out there..i guess i was destined to turn myself into a gueine pig..but oh well, to the review!!

The protein powder is made to preserve muscle, it's more along the lines of a slow digesting casein powder than a faster digesting whey powder, even though it has both in it. It doesn't really increase muscle mass, but it greatly prevents one from loosing it when you go to bed, so i think it's helped me in my lifts though just by preventing muscle breakdown at night..which is a Godsend. I noticed it mixes well AND tastes great too..The days after my workouts im still sore but i really reduces that "im gonna take a week off from the gym" feeling..the label doesnt lie.

OH, and it's got plenty of BCAA's and EAA in it, which we all know causes nitrogen retention resulting in more muscle post workout..honestly it's good shit..no joke
