With school once again in full swing, it's time for me to subsist off of a lot of protein bars, as I'd rather not be the guy who stops at the newspaper rack on campus to unpack a tin of tuna and some rice and pound it on the way to class (I've actually seen that guy. It's generally not well received.).

The Titan bar claims to have six layers, and while I didn't count, there was a lot going on. Crunchy peanuts, nougat, some granola, ooozing caramel and a chocolately drizzle over the top made this feel much more like a candy bar than a protein bar. The bar was pretty big but not overly filling. At 320 calories, it packs in 26 grams of protein with 11 grams of fat. There are only five grams of sugar but 15 grams of sugar alcohols, so if you have a sensitive stomach this may not be the bar for you.

Tastewise, this was awesome. Not the best bar I've ever tasted (it's no Supreme), but it's way up there. It didn't have the typical protein bar fake taste, it was closer to a legitimate candy bar in flavor. The caramel, peanuts and chocolate all worked well together - can't go wrong with that combo.

It's hard to find downsides with this one. I guess you could complain about the price, but its about the same as other bars, and then there's the soy protein, but I'm not going to cry over that, which I guess means this bar didn't raise my estrogen levels too much.

COOKIES AND CREAM

Wow...this may be my favorite bar ever. Tasted like an Oreo, had awesome cookie crumbles, some genuine cookie dough flavor, chocolate drizzle - unbelievable. 26 grams of protein, five grams of sugar and six grams of sugar alcohols, and eight grams of fat - an excellent profile. As soon as I finish this review I'm going to buy a box.

BROWNIE NUT

After the great taste of the other two flavors, I went for the Brownie Nut. Sadly, this was a misstep. While there is a prominent nuttiness (pieces of nuts are scattered throughout), there is no real brownie flavor. It's still solid in terms of protein (26g per 330 calories), and it's not filled with sugar. The consistency is awesome, but the taste just misses the mark.
