Cookie Dough Caramel Crisp

Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to like this bar. With 32 grams of protein, Omega-3s, flax oil and CLA, and only three grams of sugar, the profile on this is excellent. The taste, though, is not. I didn't really taste any caramel, and the cookie dough part was pretty bland as well. I was basically chewing away hoping that at some point I would run into some deliciousness, but the wrapper is empty and I'm still searching for it. It could be worse, but if you're looking for something tasty in the 400 calorie range, grab a Supreme bar.

Texture		My priorities, in order, are: a solid nutritional profile with high-quality protein and fat along with minimal added sugars; a flavor that makes me crave the bar; a value that makes me feel the bar is worth it; and a texture that makes chewing the thing up enjoyable.
Texture		The crisps included on the top layer of the bar provide the texture you'd expect from a flavor with "crunch" in the title; each bite will give your mouth something to do.

Taste		but these bars have a sharp, almost bitter onset followed by the characteristic "artificial" aftertaste associated with a unscrupulous application of sweeteners.
Taste		I compared the flavor of this bar to a cheap grocery store protein bar side-by-side, and the grocery store bar won.
Taste		Oddly enough, I like the flavor of the lower-tier Detour line (the "Lower Sugar" bars) much more.

Taste		This is actually my favorite Detour bar so far, i prefer it over the low sugar taste wise.
Taste		This bar tastes exactly the way it sounds, i would say the equivalent to a mars/reese/snickers bar in taste and as effective as a high protein shake due to the 32g of protein each bar! BEWARE these bars will keep you full for a long time.


Taste		put Detour lean muscle Choc PB bars up there with my two other fav bars which would be Quest (apple pie & brownie) and Supreme Protein bars ( Choc PB Wafer ) What I look for in a bar besides taste is a bar that does not have that typical weird after taste you get with certain bars, the choc and pb, both have a very natural flavor Imo and it's def a MRP style bar considering the macros, only reason I didn't give it a 10, I would of liked to seen it with a little less fat,

Ingredient profile		FYI these are not 110 calories <- see nutrition label = 390 calories Searches all say Detour Lean Muscle is 110 calories for some reason, it even shows up in the top 5 lowest calorie selection as 110 calories... no idea why???
