Raspberry Lemonade

NOS Active appears to be this manufacturer's attempt to blend low-calorie Powerade with an energy drink. The result is anything but memorable, as you could get similar, if not identical, effects from the very same gas station at which you purchased this drink by grabbing a Gatorade and caffeine pills instead. The first turn-off is the taste, which tastes neither like raspberry nor lemonade. It isn't quite sweet and just has a chemical flavor. The nutritional profile is uninspiring, with some electrolytes, B vitamins, and 221 mg of "natural" caffeine. Despite the caffeine being the only source of stimulation, this gave the nauseating, overstimmed feel of yohimbine, which wasn't very pleasant, particularly for exercising. No protein or amino acids, but this does feature some taurine, so there's that. Overall, pretty lackluster and not worth paying $2 for one pre-workout serving. The product did offer a decent burst of energy, but it wasn't the longest-lasting energy drink I have ever consumed. The focus was decent, but again, not mind-blowing. Perhaps, given the electrolytes, this might be a decent intra-workout or intra-sports drink.
