Cookies 'n Cream

Given that Premier doesn't seem to advertise much to the BB.com/bro crowd, I think this company is fairly under-rated in terms of the products it offers. And while Premier offers some great bars, this is not their best. Seemingly modeled after Supreme bars based on the nutritional profile, the new Crisp bars are not ideal for cutting. Each bar contains 190 calories with 15 grams of protein, which is a bit low as far as protein bars go. One plus is that the bars offer more fiber than the typical protein bar of this (and other) size, with 7 grams. Sugar is pretty low, with 8 grams, and there are 3 grams of sugar alcohols. The protein comes from soy isolate and milk protein isolate, which is not the most common combination but not a terrible one. Taste-wise, you can expect the typical artificial cookies and cream flavor most protein products offer, However, this is a bit better than the average. No chemical aftertaste, although it did make me very thirsty. And despite the relatively low sugar alcohol content, I felt a bit bloated after eating it, but that could be because I ate it quickly. Not the greatest, but a solid pick on the go.
