Chocolate Peanut Butter Toffee

After being impressed with this brand's protein bars, I figured I might be able to find a replacement or equivalent of Quest bars by checking out the Protein+Fiber bars. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The Protein+Fiber bars are a decent product, as they do have pretty good flavoring. There was a good balance of chocolate, peanut butter and toffee in these bars, with a pretty rich flavor and not too much sweetness. While perhaps not the most delicious protein bars of all time, these are pretty good considering they only have 2 grams of sugar and a relatively conservative 9 grams of sugar alcohol.

Not all parts of the nutritional profile for these bars is stellar, though. These don't offer too much energy, with just 180 calories, and they aren't incredibly protein-laden, with 13 grams per bar. Critics might also point out that the first listed ingredient in the protein blend is soy protein, though whey and casein are also included. Additionally, there isn't too much fiber in these bars, with just 5 grams per bar. Otherwise, nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary; 6 grams of fat, gluten-free, and a few vitamins and minerals. In other words, all convenience aside, a protein shake and a regular fiber bar would probably be a better bet.
