Chocolate Banana

NuGo has a wide variety of flavors and products, and it doesn't seem as though there is much uniformity in terms of the nutrition facts between flavors. The Chocolate Banana was a pleasant surprise, with 17 grams of protein in each 190-calorie bar, which is pretty good for a bar not made by a supplement company. It's fairly low-carb for a nutrition bar, with 25 grams of carbohydrates. However, there's just 1 gram of fiber and 13 grams of sugar, though they are all 'natural' sugars for whatever that is worth. I was surprised how filling this was, but it is low-glycemic, so that helps if you know you are going to be going a long while between meals. This bar is low in fat as well, with just 2.5 grams. It does have a good variety of vitamins and minerals and it also tastes really good. After a while of eating protein bars you get resigned to below-average flavoring, but this was actually refreshing and tasty. Chocolate banana is a pretty original flavor and it is done well here. The price is actually pretty decent too, you can get a box of 15 bars for about $20.
