Fruit Punch

Just when you thought the supplement marketplace couldn't possibly support yet another BCAA product, BSN offers Amino X. In an attempt to distinguish itself from other products on the market, BSN is eagerly promoting the "effervescent" nature of the product, which essentially means that it is bubbly (sort of like a BCAA soft drink). I'm not sure what the point of that is, and it actually makes the drink pretty unpleasant; the last thing I want during a workout is something carbonated. But to each his own. Despite the bubbly nature of the beverage, BSN's Amino X actually mixes quite well and gets pretty evenly mixed throughout the drink quite quickly. I am personally not a fan of the fruit punch flavor, which is pretty generic and not very tasty, although some may like it. There is a pretty strong aftertaste, so you might want to mix this with a lot of water or hit the water fountain every time you take a sip. As for effectiveness, I can't really say it improved recovery more than other BCAA product, but the formula suggests that it might. In addition to the BCAAs, Amino X offers taurine, alanine and citrulline, although it is a prop blend so who knows if the dosages are significant. The price is massively expensive unless you catch it on sale, so look for it on the clearance rack or don't bother.

Recovery ability		In regards to recovery and muscle building this supplement will certainly help you recover and build muscle while taking it.
Taste		Great tasting bcaa formula I have tasted some bad ones over the years, this is by far one of the best tasting ones.
Mixes well		The mix ability of this product is great, everything mixes up well no residue or particles at the bottom.


Recovery ability		I have been using Aminos Intra-workout and on days I need extra recovery for a few years now and they are really hit and miss.
Taste		I'm about 3/4 of the way thru my tub of grape flavor and next day DOMs are nearly nonexistent.

Taste		Great flavor (I mix 1 scoop with 1.5 liters of water) and love the fizziness ;) Grape is awesome!


Texture		It tastes outstanding, one of the best grape flavors or bcaa flavors Ive ever had, most tend to be flakey, chalky this one is not, and it's easy to forget it is a supplement and not grape juice.
Taste		Powder is very fine like a flour and flavor is outstanding, it has some carbonation so it pops the cap of my shaker open.

Recovery ability		This post-workout recovery supplement is one of the best on the market.
Endurance		After intense days at the gym, this powder helps my muscles from fatiguing as fast, keeps them going longer, and when I'm at rest, AMINOx does a fantastic job of repairing and preparing my muscles for the next day, whether it's another killer workout, or a lazy rest day.

Value for money		BSN always seems to have some really good deals on their products so price wise this product was well worth the money.


Recovery ability		With this product, in other words, even recovery seems more efficient.
Endurance		Then something that had never happened before took place: I was able to do more sets of everything with less fatigue AND my arms were SO ENLARGED that they were actually stretching the sleeves of my shirt.
Pump		I read the reviews about "pump", and I had no idea what the heck they were talking about.


Recovery ability		AminoX definitely helps with recovery and muscle building.
Taste		I honestly don't care much for taste when picking a product.
Taste		It is also worth noting that this product actually tastes good too.
