Special K Protein Snack Bar (Kellogg's)

Each snack bar is filled with crispy, crunchy rice, nougat and bits of yummy toffee, then gets dipped in rich, delicious chocolatey coating. With its 4 grams of protein, you can curb those cravings and satisfy that sweet tooth. We ARE delighted!

Chocolate Peanut Butter

Sadly, I was under the impression that I was grabbing the Protein Meal Bar from Kellogg's, but got this smaller product, the Protein Snack Bar, instead. It is quite a stretch to call this a protein bar at all, with just 4 grams per 110-calorie bar. I think that basically makes it just your average granola bar, in terms of nutritional value. Additionally, unlike the Meal Bar, this bar is low in fiber, with just 1 gram, while there are 11 grams of sugar. These bars are low in fat, with 3.5 grams (2 grams saturated), so the profile is pretty lame overall. The plus side? It won't derail your diet because it's so low in calories, and they tend to be pretty cheap, even when sold individually (like 89 cents). Also, the chocolate peanut butter taste is very pleasant, reminiscent of a Reese's, although the consistency is different - a pleasant crunchy and chewy feel. Not really that impressive, but it is an okay snack, although not particularly filling.
