SLINshot (Purus Labs)

Purus Labs SLINshot™ represents a truly novel product stemming from an exciting field of research amongst dietary supplements involving blood glucose disposal and nutrient uptake into skeletal muscle. This product has applications far reaching, from aiding the combined 80.6 million people in the United States diagnosed with diabetes and pre-diabetes (ADA www.diabetes.org) with blood sugar control to increasing athletic performance/recovery through enhanced nutrient uptake and potential glycogen (the stored form of glucose widely used as an energy source during moderate to high intensity exercise) storage. We will, for now, focus on SLINshot™ as it pertains to the athlete.

SLINshot is Purus Labs' attempt at a glucose disposal agent, which is supposed to help shuttle nutrients to muscle for storage as glycogen and prevent your body from storing carbzzz as fat, because we all know they're evil. The earliest product I can recall in this field was Anabolic Pump, and despite having years to improve on this idea, Purus Labs has a poor product. I prefer the much cheaper Slin-Sane from Genomyx, as SLINshot didn't appear to enhance body composition at all, and every time I used it I burped, had heartburn and was gassy, which was awkward when in non-bbing company. However, I didn't experience the fatigue and light-headedness I sometimes get with such supplements, so it hasn't completely terrible. It did seem to increase hunger, which is useful if you're bulking.
