I had the pleasure to try out some samples packs of Altered State which is a nitric-oxide from Muscle Asylum Project. It is made by Iovate who also owns other familiar companies. First off, this product reminds me of NanoX9 Hardcore because you take both of them before your workout and they contain caffeine too. In fact, the formula is very similar and that's eerie if you ask me. Anyway, I felt some pretty good pumps ten minutes into my biceps workout. My biceps get pumped pretty easy, but something was working. My strength did not improve on just some samples packs, but I did feel the vascularity and pump becoming prominent. Caffeine and arginine played a part in that. This product is 50 dollars and only last me about 18 servings. The serving size is not bad, but the price can scare you away. Decent, but bring that price down.
Got to try out a few packs of Muscle Asylum Project's altered state for my last few workouts. While i was not overly impressed, it was decent.
The energy lacked in some departments. While i definately could feel a boost in physical energy, the mental energy and alertness did not seem to provide the same kind of boost that many other products seem to provide, but the physical energy is still more than noticable to take an overriding effect.
The pump is what i was surprised with, unlike most products where i feel energy more than pump, i felt that this product delivered much better pumps. They were not too heavy to the extend of where it was uncomfortable to workout, but they were definately noticable, and i enjoyed it. Lacked providing added vascularity though.
All in all, good product, not worth the retail price though
