I originally bought this product while on a keto diet. I thought I would buy a fiber product since being on a low carb keto diet usually leaves you without the needed fiber in your diet. I first turned to NOW psyllium husk powder since it was extremely cheap and had a high concentration of fiber. When I recieved the product, I tried it in some water. The powder did not mix well, and the taste was not much better. If you are looking to supplement more fiber in your diet, I would recommend getting flax seeds, which are just as cheap, but provide essential fatty acids, and more fiber per serving. In my mind Psyllium Husk Powder is not very necessary and there are many better alternatives.

A wise man once said, "A healthy colon is a happy colon." Unfortunately for this wise man, he had no access to quality sources of fiber (you know, powders). Consequently, he developed colon cancer and died an excruciatingly painful and embarrassing death. The question remains - could NOW Psyllium Husk Powder have prevented this tragedy?

Ease of Mixing - Ever try pulverizing seed husks and mixing them in water? Me either, but I bet it'd mix just as poorly as this stuff. I think the term 'suspension' comes to mind after trying to mix this...

Taste - This brings back childhood memories. For instance, the days I spent alone in the woods feasting on twigs and bear droppings. Fortunately, the taste of this only resembles one of the two.

Digestive Aid - They call me Joe at work...regular Joe. I can see the envy in my older coworkers' eyes as I proudly strut to the bathroom to do my business. Yeah, what can I say, this has helped make me a regular guy.

Value - Metamucil, step back! You can't even begin to compare to this sheer fiber-packed value. Oh what's that Metamucil? You actually taste decent and mix well? Well to hell with you Metamucil, because I still have over twice as much fiber per dollar.

NOW Psyllium Husk Fiber: It doesn't mix well and it certainly doesn't taste good. However, it has more fiber/dollar than any other fiber product. I'll let you decide, but just do it before the colon cancer settles in.
