Zero Impact Bar (VPX)

VPX is known for its protein bars and I was delighted to have the chance to try the Zero Impact Bar. The flavor is Pumpkin Supreme and for one bar its about 2 dollars. This is a high profile and nutritional treat. I enjoyed the bar and it was very filling. The taste was more cinnamon than pumpkin. This looks like a solid bar for sure. I wish it tasted more like Pumpkin. This seems like a great product. I think VPX has a winner with this product. I look forward to trying some of the other flavors like Chocolate Peanut Butter and Pb&J. I will certainly have to try more VPX products in the future. I would recommend trying this out.

ok so the taste and texture are are ok to good.
but look at the ingredients! they are incredible. the healthiest bar ever!
no soy
added sesamin oil (yup sesathin)
very very low sugar and carb content relative to its total calory content.
its also very very filling. sometimes i cant finish a whole bar. :)

Peanut Butter and Jelly

Wow...this one is exactly what it sounds like, great peanut butter and jelly taste. The consistency of this bar is like no other, it's more similar to a brownie than a bar, which is awesome. 30 grams of a variety of proteins, 17g fat, only 12g sugar, this is a solid choice. It will fill you up at 390 calories, although it's a bit on the small side. These are overpriced, but it's about the same price as a bar with half the calories, so not bad.

Pumpkin Supreme

I wasn't sure if I wanted to take the plunge on this one, but I'm happy I did. Great pumpkin flavor, although a little cinnamon would have made this a 10 on flavor. This one rings in at 440 calories, so it's nearly a meal. Only 6g sugar, CLA and Sesmain, and quality carbohydrates from oats and sweet potato...this is a winner.

Roasted Coconut

Like the other flavors, this is not exactly a cutter's best friend, with 400 calories, 16g fat, 35g carbs and 30g protein. However, it is somewhat of a solid meal. The bar is chewy, not like other protein bars. I like the ingredients (complex carbs, CLA, etc), but the taste is horrible. That said, I'm not a big coconut fan, but I don't see anyone enjoying this.

The ingredient profile looks very solid (love the MPI), so it's imperative to check this out.

Taste: 10/10 Without a doubt the best tasting bar out there, if you get the Pumpkin Supreme flavor. Choc flavor is not nearly as good, but rating strictly the pumpkins flavor it can't be beat, period. Tastes like pumpkin but not too strong, and it's not too dry of a bar either though it is nice to drink some water with it.

Value: 10/10 Can find 12 bars for $21 online, so needless to say this is a great price for what you're getting. 400+ calories makes this a FULL meal replacement which is great, and no crap ingredients like HFCS or other bad fats/sugars.

Overall this is my favorite bar without a doubt, it has solid ingredients, can be used cutting or bulking due to the macros, and I don't see any reason why someone wouldn't at least give this bar a try. When it comes to target audience, people should not want to eat bars that have HFCS or other crap ingredients and that's where VPX really shines.

I am not a fan of protein bars as most usually taste disgusting. But this product is absolutely delicious. VPX has really outdone themselves with this protein bar. It has a very good ingredient profile that is unique. It has alot of ingredients you wouldn't see in your average protein bar. The only issues I had with it is that the texture was a little grainy. But I find that comes with every protein bar. Generally speaking, a box of bars is very fairly priced. It also is a guarentee that you will be full after having one of these bars. It is an entire meal. It is high in carbohydrates, so if you are on a carbohydrate restricted diet, I wouldn't suggest you take these.

The ingredients make this look like a great bar, let's take a closer look...

Taste - This bar actually tastes pretty good (chocolate peanut butter). The taste is very clean and natural. It tastes a little like a cocoa + milk + peanut butter blend dehydrated and compacted into a bar. Nothing really artificial here. The main drawback with this bar is that it's a little tough to actually eat the entire thing without drinking water. It just dries your mouth out really quickly.

Value - For the nutrient profile and ingredients this contains, it's really not too bad of a deal. At around $2.00 a bar, it is more expensive, but it is pretty well suited for a clean bulk, whereas most others are not.

Overall, this is a solid, albeit somewhat expensive, protein bar. It's not laden with sugar alcohols or sugar like most others, so you can feel a little better about eating it. I'd recommend this if you're feeling rich and fat. Otherwise, there are less healthy, cheaper and more delicious options out there.
