Once upon a time, there was a little protein bar called "Protein Diet"...

Taste - I tried all four flavors from bodybuilding.com. Peanut butter was the only one that really tasted decent, but I give my rating based on the sum of the flavors I tried. Most of the other flavors just tasted a sort of...sickly sweet. Chocolate Mint and Toasted Coconut were definitely the worst on that note. Considering this is one of the primary factors mediating one's decision to purchase a protein bar, this really hurts its value.

Side Effects - Sugar alcohols...oh how I loathe them. These are absolutely loaded with sugar alcohols, and as such, they left me feeling bloated every time.

Appetite Suppression - The horrid taste and bloating from these bars made food look downright repulsive for a couple hours. I guess these do grant that one small benefit.

Value - I thought these were a good deal at first, but a trip to Wal-Mart revealed my astounding ignorance. There I found another bar...

Overall, these bars seriously suck. Don't be suckered in by the ON name. If you want a smaller protein bar, then check out the Wal-Mart Pure Protein bars.
