Almond Raisin

At first I was turned off by the fact that this 220-calorie bar had only 10 grams of protein, but I figured that's really just 5 grams less than a Supreme Bar with about the same amount of calories, so it's not a big issue. What is nice about these bars (especially compared to Supreme Bars) is that they feature organic ingredients, such as flax, agave nectar, almond butter and sesame seeds. The bars are carbohydrate-heavy, with 25 grams, and have 15 grams of sugar, but none are refined sugars. Each bar also has 4 grams of fiber, so they are fairly filling. The bars are also high in fat, with 9 grams, but only 1 gram is saturated. These are helpful as pre-workout bars because they provide a good amount of energy but not a sugar rush. They don't have as many added nutrients as other bars but they do have a lot less artificial junk. I personally enjoyed the taste combination of almond butter and raisin, it was like an alternate PBJ that was quite tasty.
