Shock Therapy (Universal)

If you are looking for a pre-workout shake that will help power you up for the gym and make you feel like hitting the plates, wait no longer. The nitric oxide (NO) activators, creatine and stimulants in this formula will energize you while helping to make you look more vascular and gain size. Shock Therapy™ can actually motivate you to get into the gym and hit the weights! Unlike many of the other pre-workout NO products on the market, we include an antioxidant complex that is essential when taking nitric oxide stimulating ingredients, due to their oxidative nature on human cells. Now you can have the “perpetual pump,” the intense workout you crave, and keep your body safe from the free radicals that are produced as a side effect of the nitric oxide activation process.

First off I would like to say thank you to Universal for making such a fine product.

I bought Shock Therapy because I'd been feeling worn down at the time from school and work and wasn't carrying the best intensity into the gym at night. With all of the bills I've been paying lately, a lot of pre-workout stimulants were not an option for me financially. I had heard of Shock Therapy in the past and I decided to give it a go when I found it for $29 on an online retailer. It had a solid ingredient profile and that was enough to persuade me to buy it for that price. Below I have my thoughts on the experience:

ENERGY: The energy was excellent and I was feeling it within 15 minutes of taking it on an empty stomach. I was surprised at how well it charged me before hitting the iron as I hadn't felt that energetic for quite some time. I was able to put in 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours a night with no crash at all. This product follows through on its energy claims.

PUMP: The pump wasn't extraordinary like I've experienced with other products but it was noticeable. I had to stop and flex between sets because I was happy with the pump effect this product gave me. I've taken many popular NO products and I would say that this one is right in the middle as far as pump goes.

FOCUS/STAMINA: This was the best thing about Shock Therapy. I just couldn't put down the weights. My recovery time between sets was much shorter and I accomplished a lot that I normally wouldn't in one night. The stamina this product gave me was excellent. I normally stack Purple Wraath with my pre-workout products but I stopped within a few days because I could tell the Shock Therapy was aiding in this area. I was rarely distracted and I had great form when taking this.

LASTING APPEAL: At 50 servings this product followed through for most of the tub. It lost effectiveness when I got in the day 40+ range but it was still a miracle that it worked for that long. I've never had an NO product that worked consistently for that duration. I was going through a tiring stretch and I needed Shock Therapy every day that I used it. This formula is a sure bang for your buck in terms of how long it lasts.

IN CONCLUSION: I would definitely use Shock Therapy again. I will be cycling off of pre-workout stims for some time but when I need it again Shock Therapy will be one of the stims I'm considering to use. You can't go wrong with this product.

(Admin: This review applies to the Grape Splash flavour.)

Shock Therapy is a kind of "all-in-one" pre-workout supplement, as it boasts NO activators, Citrulline Malate, Taurine, Beta-Alanine, Caffeine and Creatine. If you're looking for a pump product but don't feel like paying extra for creatine, this is a great bet, as it is pretty cost effective, and gives you a nice boost. Not as effective as NO-Xplode, but I also haven't seemed to develop a high tolerance to it like I did with NO-Xplode. While the powder alone tasted awesome, like the "purple stuff" of yore perennially picked over in Sunny D commercials, it mutated into a horrible tasting substance when mixed with water. However, it's something you're gonna pound quickly anyway, so no big deal. Bonus: one serving contains 1,667% of the recommend daily allowance of B12. Cliffs: Horrible taste, good pumps, good price.

Blue Raspberry

I'm not sure what brought on the surge in Blue Raspberry-flavored supplements, but I'm VERY happy it came along. This tastes awesome, more than makes up for having to suffer through the tub of Grape Splash. Amazing energy, long-lasting, no crash. The only downside was that I wanted to sip this for hours and enjoy it.

Supplement duration: 2weeks and counting

This being my first NO volumizing product I did a lot of research so that I would get a quality product for a reasonable price. Well, I am happy to report that I made the right decision. I bought a 2.31lb (1050gr) tub online for under $30.

Initial Reaction: I used one scoop 30min before the workout mixed with 10oz of H20. I went to the gym feeling really energized and in a focused state of mind. This supplement delivered a immediate PUMP reaction once I started to hit the weights. Very noticeable reduction in recovery time between sets. I was jacked for the entire workout and felt like I was busting out of my own skin. I did not feel edgy or nervous and had no symptomatic nausea of GI upset.

2 Weeks Later: Still getting the workouts of my life. However, I have reduced my serving size to about 1/2 to 3/4 scoop, as I found that I was to ZONED-IN while working out. I like having an energy edge but I do not want to feel like the hulk busting out of a shirt all the time. The adjusted sering for me gives me just the right amount of encouragement while maintaining a desired PUMP. No symptoms to report or other undesired effects to report.

The Breakdown:
*Value* - Very reasonably priced at under $30 for approximately 50 servings with a 1 scoop
serving.
*Taste* - I purchased the grape flavor and it tastes surprisingly good, not to sugary.
Tip: If you mix this with some Lemon-lime Gatorade powder, it literally tastes like a Jolly-Rancher.....mmmmmm.
*Mixability* - Put it in, give it a little shake, and it is gone. No residue on the bottom or clumping. Dissolves evenly into the H20 and no free floaters are visible.
*Energy* - Lasted the entire workout and progressively diminished as I began my cool-down sessions. I did not experience any "crashes" post workout.

Overall Verdict: For all the above mentioned reasons I would definitely recommend this product for those looking for a HUGE energy boost while training. I have no symptoms to report thus far and I have not built up a tolerance. I hope your experience is as positive as mine has been thus far.

Therefore this product deserves: 9 REPS out of 10!

Thanx for reading and happy PUMPING!.

I stack this with a micronized Creatine supplement and I have seen great result.

I've tried just about every pre-workout supplement on the market. Although this isn't my absolute favorite, this is a very good product. The price/servings is unbeatable and Universal is one of the best companies in the business. The energy/pump from Shock Therapy is very good, but I also notice head aches shortly after my workout. Im not sure if it's from the stim's or something else in the product, but I haven't noticed it with any other pre-workout supplement.

Taste- I bought the Grape flavor and am 100% satisfied. Definitely easy to drink!

Mixing- 1 scoop with 8oz of water is extremely easy to mix. There are no clumps and it mixes relatively quick

Energy- The energy is decent compared to others. It isn't as noticable as NO-Xplode or NO-Shotgun, but it definitely gives you a boost.

Pump- The pump is definitely noticable. I've seen veins that I normally don't see while taking Shock Therapy, and the pump last's throughout the entire workout.

Value- For the price/servings, this product cannot be beat. You can find it for under $30, and it last's for 50 workouts. Definitely a bargain!

Yet another solid product from Universal. Shock Therapy is definitely the best value NO product. 50 servings for about $30. I was skeptical at first with NO(Nitrix Oxide) products until I tried this. This product kicks in after 2-3 days and then provides very noticeable pumps. The benefit of a good pump and circulation is to provide you muscles with nutrients when they really need it. That is why when you work out you get a pump because you muscles and swollen with blood delivering nutrients to them. The pumps are not extreme enough to lock you up but just enough so that you notice. My lifts increased during use due to just seeing my self that big motivated me beyond anything else. Has all the best ingredients out creatine, Beta alanine, caffeine, arginine AKG. This product used with Universal’s creatine called Storm is the best pre post workout stack available for the money. Highly recommend
