Myoplex Lite Bar Cinnamon Roll Crisp

Main protein source as soy put me off, but I tried this as I was given a free bar. First thoughts on profile were bad, even though this bar is loaded with sugars, corn syrups, and HFCS I tried it anyway.

Opening it, smelled great, like a extra-sugary packet of cinnamon oatmeal. Tasting, not bad, not very cinnamony though, sweet 'yogurt-ish' bottom. Very comparable to your average "Chewy Yogurt Bar" (ex. Quaker). But RIDICULOUSLY sweet. I could not finish the whole thing. It was so sweet it made my jaw ache and teeth hurt actually.

Besides the fact that there were ~twice as many carbs as protein in this bar (only 15g protein) with a good chunk being sugars, the biggest flop was in fact the taste and the sweetness-related "side effects"

Price is not great for what it is. If it were not as sweet, the bar's flavor would be ok, so the flavor itself is maybe a 3 out of 5. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a protein bar (certainly not a healthy one) and would definitely not purchase.

EAS needs to step up their game a bit IMO. It is marketed as a nutritional bar, but I've seen chocolate bars in the candy aisle with better nutrition than this. But it really exposes what market they are selling to.

    Myoplex RTD Chocolate Cream

So the taste was pretty much sweetened (moreso) plasticky chocolate milk, but wasn't as thick as milk though. Not TERRIBLE but not very good, even though the cocoa taste was smooth-ish. Even though the bottle packs 210 Calories, it was not filling by any means. Being a fairly 'thin' shake it's lack of body may have contributed to this.

Profile is not so great, but fairly (used lightly) comparable to most RTDs out there. Main protein source is soy, so not ideal for some, including myself. Packs 5g of sugars - and goes down in 3 big gulps. Price is not very good at most retailers for this product either. Lose-lose.

I would not spend money on this "nutritional shake" or recommend this flavor.

Hydroxycut Hardcore X RTD Grape Explosion

Got a case of these for free, so I tried them out. Like most RTDs, the price of this product (based on profile and effect) is not worth the convenience of an RTD.

That said, this is by far in my top-tasting "supplements" I've tried. Served cold, this RTD tastes just like a melted grape Freezie (not popsicle, a freezie!) Has that sort of sharpness of a freezie too (think carbonated beverage), but this RTD is not carbonated.

Not a great amount of energy gained from sipping this. Tried half bottle, then moved up to one full bottle 'per serving'. I got jittery (SIDE EFFECT) from the whole bottle, but didn't have significantly more energy. Did notice a good amount of thermogenic effect that lasted a while.

Not a special profile IMO, would be costly at recommended dosages. Probably would not spend the money on this even though it tastes amazing and gets me nostalgic for summer in childhood.

    Advanced Whey Chocolate

Taste is not awful, but it is probably the lightest (weakest) chocolate flavored whey I've ever tried. The texture is also more grainy (more undissolved particles) than typical.

In water, it doesn;t make a very thick shake, so don't expect it to keep you full for long.

Awesome profile. Fortified with lactalbumin, lactoferrin and sialic acid, has many added benefits (anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory immunity, etc)

Price retail is high for what it is, but the quality is there. I don't think it's necessarily an economical staple for the bodybuilder, but for using whey for general health and dietary purposes, it is a top quality option that isn't an over-powering flavored protein. It would likely be affordable for this type of person who woulnd't go through a tub of whey as quick as an athlete.

Greens 'n' Berries For a product like this, it's hard to notice an 'effect' really - as benefit would best be seen through long-term use. But trusting AOR, you can be safe with the fact that it is very safe and top quality.

Ingredient profile is outstanding, no proprietary blend and a diverse mixture of healthy greens and berry powders.

Not ideal for those on keto, but can be worked into a cut diet even - but would include natural sugars and one scoop packs 56 Calories.

Price can be up there depending on store, but for what it is, the ingredients used and the guaranteed quality - you get what you pay for.

Taste can be overwhelming. In water alone, it is VERY sweet (mostly berry notes) and hard to put down a full scoop. I mixed in in chocolate/cinnamon whey shake and it surprisingly wasn't bad, but the sweetness and berriness of it did overpower the whole shake so that the whey flavors were very hard to pick out. Mixes just like a good whey, but drinking has a grainier texture alone. Texture not noticeable when included in a protein shake.

Great benefit for health, and with nitrate-rich ingredients, is promising pre-gym. I did not see so much effect from this, but I started splitting up one scoop over one day. One scoop preWO might have some noticeable effect.
