Xtend V2 (Scivation)

Xtend is the ultimate, sugar-free, BCAA-containing drink mix to be consumed during exercise (intra-workout). Whether you're a physique athlete, strongman, powerlifter, traditional athlete (e.g., football, basketball, baseball, soccer, etc), endurance competitor, or just looking to significantly change your body composition through resistance training and nutrition, Xtend is ideally formulated to maximize training intensity and support your goals.* Xtend was the first and has become the most well-recognized and used intra-workout catalyst product because it not only works... but it tastes great too!

Watermelon Madness

The new version of Xtend was apparently one of the most highly anticipated product releases at Bodybuilding.com, so it was kind of disappointing to see a few areas in which the product fell short. While the new formula adds electrolytes - great for running outdoors in the heat and another excuse to use it on cardio days - you're still paying for glutamine, and the amount of potassium is pretty low (5% per serving). Additionally, the age-old "how many calories in Xtend" question will probably pop up again because the flavoring is really overwhelming. Watermelon Madness is right - I first tried this with the suggested amount of water then found in subsequent trials that about double was necessary. Maybe I've been spoiled by Aminocore as of late, but the mixability was quite poor, lots of foaming and particles. I had mild stomach upset, perhaps due to the intense flavoring, but other than that, it was your standard BCAA product.
