There seems to be no end to the varieties of Myoplex Bars available, but this one is not among the best. While it does provide 30 grams of protein, it also comes with 20 grams of fat (13 of which are saturated) and just three grams of fiber. The protein is a blend, though it has mostly whey and calcium caseinate rather than micellar casein. It seems like EAS tried to please the anti-sugar crowd by dropping just 8 grams of sugar in here, but they provided it via high fructose corn syrup, which isn't popular. Also, with so much fat I would expect some CLA, MCTs, EFAs or something...but that's not the case. There are some vitamins and minerals, but not enough to allow you to skip your multi-vitamin for the day.

Like a lot of EAS products, the taste is okay, nothing spectacular. It's not going to be your favorite thing to eat, but you won't have to choke it down either. Of course, that's assuming you buy it...I'd take a ZI over this any day.
